Match vs Scottish Vets

An Aberdeenshire select team played the Scottish Vets on Sunday at Murcar Links and had another great day. The sun shone, there was little wind and the course was in fantastic condition.  8 girls were available to play in the match - Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies), Carol Wilson (Murcar Links), Vikki Thom (Kemnay), Donna Pocock (Kemnay), Jill Harrison (Cruden Bay), Sammy Leslie (Kemnay), Louise Anderson (Duff House Royal) and Karen Stalker (Cruden Bay). Although early in the season we witnessed some great golf from both teams and it was a good opportunity for the girls to play some competitive match play golf so early in the season.

County Training

The last few months have not been too bad for winter golf so I am sure you have been enjoying some of the recent spring weather, and like me, are now looking forward to the new season starting.

Thank you to all of you who turned out for our AGM last November. Thanks, as ever, to Karen for all work she puts in preparing the power point presentation- it is always fun to see the photos and certainly brings back all the memories of the past season.

We had our first County training session on Sunday 12th March at Inchmarlo. 12 girls were able to attend so we played a 9 hole greensomes match play competition which finished all square 1 ½ - 1 ½. We were very fortunate with the weather and it was great to get the girls out again.
