Congratulations to the Turriff Ladies Team: Yvonne Massie, Lorna Campbell & Wendy Sleigh for winning our end of Season Tri- Am at their home club yesterday with a score of 74 Stableford points.
In 2nd place with a Score of 69 points were Emma Gray (Peterculter), Judith McCaffery & Lorna Mckenrick (Ballater)
In 3rd place with 68 points (BIH) were the Newburgh Team of Gill Williamson, Janice Moir & Lynda Carnie.
We were lucky to get a lovely warm and dry day for our last competition of the year, but unfortunately due to very heavy rain the day before the course was very wet in places which made the course long to play making it tough for everyone. Apart from that the Greens were very good and the course looked lovely and everyone seemed to enjoy their day out to Turriff Golf Club.
Many thanks to Turriff Golf Club for allowing us to Host our Tri -Am at their Club and Thanks to the Bar and catering Ladies that were kept busy the whole day and served us very well.
All Prize Vouchers will be sent out to the Clubs.
Please see link below for full results.
The pair scored 89 Gross, Net 68....
Thornton Golf Course is a relatively flat, tree-lined course, where fortunately they managed to keep their ball on the fairway - a challenge given in the windy and wet conditions.
They played steady through the back 9- paring the 13th, the longest hole on the course and one of only two Par 5's.
Coming down the 18th in heavy rain, they were fortunate to rescue a sloppy hole with a single 20ft putt, which they reckon won them the "Aussie Spoons"
Congratulations Ladies, you have done Aberdeenshire proud.
Please see Scottish golf.org for their report.
Today at Banchory Golf Club we held the Final of the "Sheena Wood Rose Bowl".
The finalists were Joanne Davidson ( Murcar Links) V Susanne Middleton (Deeside)
It was a very tight contested match with Joanne winning 1 up.
We were very fortunate to get a Glorious day after very heavy overnight rain
but the course was in great condition and both players enjoyed their game.
Many Thanks to Banchory Golf Club for giving us the Courtesy Tee time.
Winner of this years "Sheena Wood Rose bowl " Joanne Davidson ( Murcar Links)
This year, the Junior/ County Player Event was particularly challenging as the
format was a Florida Scramble, where the player whose ball was chosen
couldn’t play the next shot. Furthermore, each player had to contribute a
minimum number of drives. However, the players rose to the challenge
magnificently and the scoring round the par 68 Blairs course was tremendous.
It was lovely to see everyone play together as part of a team and each team
member surely had to make their contribution, sometimes under pressure!
Winners: Total 66 (33,33)
Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies), Holly Lovie (Ballater), Rachel Duncan (Peterculter),
Penelope Dalgarno (Royal Aberdeen).
2 nd Place: Total 70 (34,36)
Fiona Campbell (McDonald Ellon), Yvy Garza (Peterculter), Beatrix Campbell (APCGA).
3 rd Place: Total 72 (35,37)
Becky Flaherty (Banchory), Joy Lovie (Ballater), Hannah Denholm (Newmachar).
A huge thanks to our County Ladies, Sheena, Fiona & Becky for coming along to lead the
teams and share their knowledge with the girls. We hope all the girls enjoyed a taste of near
par golf & feel inspired to keep working on their games.
Our sincere thanks go to Deeside Golf Club who most kindly gave us courtesy of their course and let us use their first class facilities.

Congratulations to Banchory 1,in winning the Lyon Foursomes (Inter-club Foursomes) at Deeside Golf Club by beating Aberdeen Ladies by 1 hole in an exciting final yesterday afternoon.
Both Semi -finals were good matches which saw Banchory Beat Ballater and Aberdeen Ladies beating Cullen Links, their first time competing in the Lyon Foursomes.
The course was presented in excellent condition and although the weather was very mixed for our 2 days at Deeside during the Mornings Semi Finals and the Final in the afternoon we had some very heavy rain but the course held out.
Banchory and Aberdeen Ladies both played very good golf in the final despite the conditions but Banchory just managed to keep their nose ahead and pip Aberdeen Ladies to the post by 1 hole.
It is 38 years since Banchory last won the Lyon Foursome so a great achievement indeed.
Banchory 1 therefore win the Lyon Foursomes Trophy and Aberdeen Ladies 1 are winners of the Godsman Quaich.
I must thank Deeside Golf club for hosting the event, their Green Keeping Staff for the excellent condition of the course and to their Bar and catering staff for being so accommodating.

The Junior Championship was held this year at Inverurie Golf Club.
The Girls thoroughly enjoyed playing at Inverurie, which was in super condition though the strong swirly wind certainly added to the challenge. The standard of golf was impressive as was their composure.
The Scratch Champion and winner of the Farquharson Quaich was Lily Macdonald (Aboyne) 85.
We are all delighted for Lily, especially as it is the last year she will be eligible to play. What a great way to finish her time with us as one of our talented junior members.
The Scratch Runner Up was Lois Reid (Cruden Bay) 90
The Junior Handicap Champion and winner of the Styropack Salver was Beatrix Campbell

Firstly a big thank you to our Team for making our 2026 Jamboree at Nairn Dunbar a weekend to remember. The Team are all a pleasure and honor to be around and I know they all gave 100% effort in all their games right to the very end. Saturday was a successful day beating Angus 6-3 but we knew that the next 2 days were going to be tough. Sunday we lost to P&K 9-0 and Monday we lost to Northern 6-3. Despite the scores on the board the golf was at the highest standard and the girls should be very proud of themselves.
Congratulations to Northern who have won for the 4th year in succession going forward to represent us at Dunfermline Golf Club in August.
We look forward to seeing you all next year at Murrayshall Golf Club.

Our Junior Girls enjoyed another fantastic day of coaching with David Pocock, head professional at Portlethen.
It was the first session for 5 of our newest young members and David put them through their paces on the putting green, in the bunkers, on the range and on the par 3 course.
Their smiles really tell the story.

Murcar Links hosted the County Championship this past weekend . The club provided an exceptional setting, and we appreciated the warm welcome and professionalism shown throughout.
The course was in outstanding condition, their dedication and attention to detail ensured a Championship worthy of the venue. Many thanks must go to the green keeping staff, admin staff and bar and catering staff for all their help and hard work.
I must give sincere thanks to Carol Wilson for refereeing the final of the Hay Salver and to the Ladies Club Captain - Shirley Copland for refereeing the Scratch Final in the afternoon.
Throughout the event a high standard of golf was displayed by all competitors in tricky, cold and windy conditions but dry!
The winner of the best scratch qualifying score this year was Claire Prouse (Hazlehead) with a score of 78, beating Carol Wilson (Murcar Links) on the better inward half.
The handicap final was between Brianne Mackay from Duff House Royal and Suzanne Robertson (Fraserburgh). Brianne won the Hay Salver last year and successfully defended her title by beating Suzanne 4& 3. Brianne played excellent golf for her young age and shows great prospects for the future.
Congratulations to Brianne our Hay Salver (Handicap) winner.
In the Championship semi finals Kim Watt (Aberdeen Ladies) beat Sarah Ritchie (Portlethen) 3&2 and Rachel Polson (Peterculter) beat Fiona Campbell (McDonald Ellon) 6&5.
