Account topup information

Following the Competition Secretary's update below we have disseminated important information to all members regarding making payment of entry fees online.  You should have received this by email.  If you have not received an email then firstly please check your junk folder, and if you haven't received it then drop a note to alcga.treasurer@gmail.com and a copy will be forwarded to you.  Please note that online payments are subject to the terms and conditions per the email dated 22 March 2023.

Step-by-step instruction to top up account and enter competitions

Hello Ladies

I know you have all been waiting for the County Competitions to go live on the App, apologies it has taken us so long there are still a few teething problems with the new Scottish Golf system and because of this we have had to create the competitions slightly differently this year.

Hopefully you have all managed to pay your subs through the website using the instructions Laura gave out.

The first thing you need to do to be able to enter a competition is to have enough money in your Aberdeenshire County Account.

To top this up you need to go to the Scottish Golf Website - Scottish Golf Website and log in at the top corner using your CDH number and password

You then need to click on the My Account section.

This will take you to the below page

From here you need to select Aberdeenshire Ladies County Golf Association as your club and click on View Account

Once you are in your ALCGA account if you scroll down to nearly the bottom you will see a section called Club Accounts where you area able to see your account balance and have the option of topping up your account. You can also see the transactions you have done on your account beneath it.

So once you have topped up your account you can now go to the Scottish Golf App to enter the competitions.

Along the bottom of the screen there is an Events tab with a picture of a trophy above it, click on that and it will take you to your home clubs events (see mine says McDonald in the top left hand corner)

If  you click on the arrow next to your club name you can search for Aberdeenshire Ladies County Golf Association in the find a club section

Once you are in ALCGA you can see the competitions available to enter. As you can see I have only added Ballater so far (Wednesday 22nd March) but I am hoping to get the rest added tomorrow.

You may also notice that there are two competitions for Ballater. This is because the new Scottish Golf system has all ALCGA members as home members of all the clubs in the county therefore for County Opens where you are not a member of the host club you can't pay the green fee as well as the entry fee.

So I have created a HOME competition for members of the host club (in this example Ballater) and a VISITORS competition for anyone else who wants to play the Ballater County Open but is not a member of Ballater

All you need to do is click select for the relevant competition you want to enter and this will put the competition into your basket top right - see circled below

If you click on the basket in the top right corner this takes you to the event details

Check the details are correct and click on Continue to Payment this will take you to the Checkout where you click on Pay by Competition Account  (see below) and this will enter you into the competition and take the payment from your County Account. If you can't get to this screen chances are you don't have enough money in your account to pay for the entry so follow the steps laid our earlier.

Any problems please email alcga.comp.sec@gmail.com and hopefully I can talk you through it.

Thank you all again for your patience in us working with Scottish Golf to get this set up and happy golfing!
